Why Cleavage Should Never Have Any Business in the Business World

Are you bold enough to wear a plunging neckline to an interview?  What about while giving a presentation?  What about for just another laid-back Friday in the office?

No. No. and No.  All three, NO.  The hallways of an office are not a runway.  Leave the cleavage for clubbing.

Why?  Why should we as women not want to show off what the good Lord gave us?  Why shouldn’t we dress to feel confident in our skin?  Why not?  Because the office is a place of respect and formality.  That’s why we dress up for work.  That’s why you shake hands when meeting someone.  That’s why we address others as Mr., Mrs., Dr. and so-forth.  Decollete fashion has no business in the business world.

I agree that showing cleavage can be a way for women to feel more feminine in a male dominated workforce.  But so can wearing jewelry, high heels, and skirts.  Women should be confident enough in their femininity that they shouldn’t feel the need to indulge in their necklines to prove it.
